Delete your account and data

In the app

Open Settings → Privacy and deletion → Delete account and confirm. DanceRep removes your account, boards, moves, synced clips, shares and beta data. Original videos in your device's photo library remain untouched.

Without the app: request deletion

We verify account ownership before deletion. If you cannot access the account email, explain that in the message. Never send a password, sign-in link or verification code. You do not need to reinstall the app.

What is deleted

We delete your account access, private boards and moves, metadata and clips stored in DanceRep, your shares, beta access and attributable beta usage events. Independent copies already imported by other people remain in their accounts. We do not remove content you have saved outside DanceRep on your device.

You can request data deletion and keep your account.

Processing and backups

We handle requests manually and respond without undue delay, normally within one month of receipt. If a complex request requires an extension, we explain why within that first month; the legal extension can be up to two additional months. We tell you when deletion is complete and which data, if any, must still be retained.

Encrypted recovery backups may still contain older copies after deletion from active systems. They leave those backups through the daily, weekly and monthly retention rotation. Backup deletion is therefore not immediate. We explain the applicable backup retention and remaining deletion date when handling your request; any restoration must take completed deletion requests into account.
